New Year, New Experiences

Today, I had the pleasure of attending a Vision Board party with a few of my friends (Myeesha and Jasmine). Every year I put together my own vision board but I’e never done it in a settings with others. So this event was a new and fun experience for me.

A vision board is a visual remember of the personal goals and certain things you want to accomplish or work on through out the year. Last year my Vision Board was lost in the midst of moving, so this year I framed my vision board. I decided I need to hang my vision board in a cute place in my apartment where I will see it everyday. So I thought about what room I spend most of my time in…. My closet (especially in the morning or when getting ready to go out). My 2016 Vision Board is mounted proudly on the back wall of my closet. This way I am able to see my vision everyday so I can stay focused.

One of my major focuses this year is a 3 year plan. It’s easy for me to set small short term goals for myself. But if you ask me, “Where do I see myself in 5 years?” — realistically I don’t know. And I can not longer accept that. I can’t tell you why its so hard for me to fantasize where I’d like to be in life. It bothers me that I can’t see my life past the present year. So this year my goal is to soul search– explore myself, find out what I do and don’t like, discover my passion and make a plan. A 3 year plan!

Am I the only one feeling this way? I know someone understand where I’m coming from… feel free to share!

Until next time See my vision board below…
