The best thing about being a creative is having friends who are creative as well. I love to get together with friends to create something dope and outside of the box. I’ve been wanting to do a Balloon Wall for some time now, so I thought Christmas would be the best time. So I hooked up with my DIY bestie to create one. Take a look!

Continuing our conversation from yesterday, today I want to talk about using aloe vera on your skin. If you missed yesterday’s blog…. STOP, click here and go view it and come back.
Aloe Vera is a key ingredient for skin toners, anti-aging serums, and acne treatment. One simple thing that you can do to improve your skin and maintain health glowing skin is rub aloe vera on your skin before you get in the shower. Yep! Its that simple.
Now, don’t expect to see immediate results. But if you keep this practice in your skincare routine, you’ll see improvement over time.
Practice this biweekly:
Cut a Aloe Vera leave in half.
Rub the Aloe Vera gel directly on your skin before you get in the shower.

One of my favorite things to do to kickoff the holiday season is to take pictures with my family. About 4 years ago I realized I didn’t have many family portraits. When I was little I remember getting dressed up and going to Sears to take holiday pictures that my mom would share with the family in our Christmas card. Well as I started to get older, for some reason we stopped taking family photos. So, I planned a family photoshoot for my extended family. I look forward to our Christmas photoshoot every year. We create some really funny memories during each photoshoot, and we create some real dope pictures too.
Here are 5 tips to help you plan a family photoshoot for the holidays
#1 Pick a color scheme.
The color scheme is important. You can either choose for everyone to wear the same thing, or select a color scheme. When you are dealing with more the 3 or 4 people, I highly suggest a color scheme for every to stick to. That way everyone can choose what’d like to wear, be comfortable, and show their personality. Pinterest has really good color scheme templates/ inspiration for group photoshoots.
For our pictures this year we decided on Yellow, Red, and Denim. In the past we have wore, Green and Tan; shades of Purple.
#2 Find the perfect location for your family.
Location is everything!!!! Keeping in mind your family dynamic when selecting your photoshoot location and be creative. There are parks, farms, shopping centers, and city skylines. Try googling “Top places for a photoshoot near me” you’ll be surprised at what you find.
Our family photo location this year was Prospect Farm in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I found this location from a google search that lead me to their Facebook page.
#3 Book a photographer.
A photographer who has experience working with a group of people instead of just one or two people is very important. If you have children in your family, you need a photographer who can work with children during a photoshoot. I personally like a photography team of 2 or more shooters, that why you can capture more moments in a hour long session. I really like to see the behind scene footage and candid shoots from a photoshoot.
As a blogger, I have a list of to go photographers. For my family and event photography, I always hire Vision of Life photography. They are a couple duo, so you have 2 shooters and they are very detailed oriented.
#4 Create a mood board on Pinterest.
Pinterest is the best app for you to find photoshoot inspiration. From poses and facial expressions to props and filters, Pinterest is the best. I highly suggest you create a mood board for your photoshoot before hand so you know exactly what type of shoots you want to get.
#5 Have Fun.
Photoshoots are meant to be fun and capture the great memories with your family. So, don’t be to serious. Just have fun. Create a fun atmosphere by play music that everyone can groove to during the photoshoot. Genuine happiness looks better than any planned smile in a photo.
Before you go, share one thing you like to do with your family during the holidays.
